INFORMATION TEXT REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Domino Line International Transportation Tourism and Trade Inc. (referred to as Domino Line) takes utmost care for the protection and security of your personal data. In this context, we would like to inform and enlighten you transparently as the Data Controller about how your personal data is collected, processed, the legal reasons for processing, and your rights, in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“Law”) and related legislation, with the aim of protecting fundamental rights and freedoms, especially the privacy of private life.

 

Purpose of Processing
Your personal data is processed by Domino Line for the purpose of providing services, including but not limited to:
  • Booking and reservation information,
  • Your name, surname, phone, identity and passport information,
  • Travel and route information,
  • Booking and reservation details,
  • Information related to billing and payment methods,
  • Recordings collected via our call center,
  • Camera/video/photograph recordings collected for security purposes,
  • Health data collected to fulfill legal responsibilities related to accidents,
  • Information related to payment and refund,
  • Information about your personal interests,
  • Information provided by you regarding requests and complaints about products and services to our employees,
  • Information about your use of our website, mobile applications, and other communication channels,
  • Information related to the usage of our website, including computer/hardware and connection information, page view statistics, traffic information about coming to and going from the page, ad data/advertisement-related data, IP addresses, and standard web log information,
  • Operational activities within Domino Line,
  • Decision-making, implementation, and realization of commercial decisions by Domino Line,
  • Ensuring legal safety arising from relationships established with individuals and Domino Line,
  • Organizing events held by Domino Line, all within the scope of Articles 5 and 6 of the Law.
Parties to Whom the Data is Transferred and Purpose of Transfer

Your personal data may be transferred to third parties within the scope of the purposes stated in this Information Text in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, and for legal obligations within the framework of domestic and foreign laws, competent administrative authorities, and legal obligations arising from the countries traveled, including but not limited to; business partners, employees, service providers (including companies providing cloud computing and other computing services and consultants), and agencies, as well as agencies with which agreements are made, shareholders and subsidiaries, authorized administrative authorities domestically and abroad, other relevant individuals and organizations, public safety, and to fulfill legal obligations arising from regulations in the countries where the journey is made, to information technology service providers, software service providers, and other external service providers, hosting service providers, cargo and logistics companies, law firms, software companies related to complaint management and security, agencies, consulting firms, social media platforms, our group companies, shareholders, business partners, suppliers, authorized public institutions, and private individuals. Domino Line may share your user information with Google and/or Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat for advertising targeting using Google Customer Match and Facebook Custom Audiences services. Google Customer Match service allows Domino Line to target you through Google’s advertising network (such as Search, Gmail, and YouTube) and use your user information to reach you and show you marketing messages. Users can control the ads they see on Google services, including Customer Match ads, in Google Ad settings. Within the scope of the Facebook Custom Audiences service, Domino Line can offer you ads and campaigns through Facebook and/or other applications owned by Facebook by targeting. Domino Line’s website uses Google Analytics. The data obtained from Google Analytics allows us to optimize our website according to the preferences of our customers. This data, including your IP address, is hosted on servers in the United States by Google. For more information, please review Google’s privacy policy. Our website uses cookies. A “cookie” is data that can be sent to your browser. Your browser can store cookies on your system according to the options you set. Cookies collect information such as your operating system, browser type, IP address, etc. Thus, the server hosting our website can track your browser and pages you have visited before, and cookies allow us, for example, to show you a service/product you added to your basket in your previous visits. Processing Subject to Consent

In addition, if you give your consent, your personal information may be processed, stored, and shared with Domino Line, company partners, suppliers, and legally authorized public institutions and private legal entities for the promotion of products and/or services, including but not limited to campaign notifications, new product announcements, cross-shopping opportunities, promotion, advertising, targeting, analysis, etc.

 

Collection Method and Legal Basis

Your personal data may be collected by Domino Line through written, verbal, electronic environments, automatic or non-automatic methods for use in the purposes stated in this Information Text. Your personal data may be processed and transferred for the purposes specified in this Information Text in accordance with the personal data processing conditions and purposes stated in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law.

 

Retention Period of Personal Data

Domino Line will keep personal data for the period required by the purposes stated in this Information Text and the relevant legislation. In addition, in the event of any dispute that may arise between Domino Line and the data owner, limited to being able to perform the necessary defenses within the scope of the dispute, Domino Line may keep personal data for the limitation periods determined in accordance with the relevant legislation.

 

Commitments and Measures for Data Security

Domino Line commits to taking necessary technical and administrative measures to ensure an appropriate level of security to:

  • prevent the processing of personal data unlawfully,
  • prevent unauthorized access to personal data, and
  • preserve personal data.

Domino Line will not disclose to others or use personal data obtained in violation of legal regulations and for purposes other than processing purposes.

 

Your Rights Under the Law

As data owners in accordance with Article 11 of the Law, you have the right to:

  • Learn whether personal data is being processed,
  • Request information if personal data has been processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used appropriately for their purpose,
  • Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred domestically or abroad,
  • Request correction if personal data is incomplete or incorrectly processed and, within this scope, to request notification of the correction made to third parties to whom personal data is transferred,
  • Request the deletion or destruction of personal data in case the reasons requiring processing cease to exist, despite being processed in accordance with Law No. 6698 and other related laws, and request notification of this deletion to third parties to whom personal data is transferred,
  • Object to the emergence of a result against the person by analyzing the processed data solely through automated systems,
  • Request the compensation of damages in case of damage due to the unlawful processing of personal data.

Requests regarding these rights will be evaluated and concluded within 30 (thirty) days if sent in writing to “Büyük İstanbul Otogarı No: 95-96 Bayrampaşa / ISTANBUL” as data owners or if sent to info@dominoline.com.tr via the electronic mail address previously notified to Domino Line. In requests transmitted by the Data Subject, it is mandatory to include the name, surname of the data subject, if the application is in writing, the signature, the Republic of Turkey identity number, or if foreign, the nationality, passport number, or if any, the identity number, the notification address based on residence or workplace, the electronic mail address used for notification, telephone and fax numbers, and the subject of the request. If the response to the application will be given on a recording medium such as CD or flash memory, Domino Line may request a fee from the Data Subject for the cost of the recording medium.
